The Friends of Ferris is an energetic, non-profit group of volunteers who
are hard at work, constantly bringing to Ferris special events and promotions
unique to our Provincial Park! We are part of a growing network of co-operating
associations across Ontario.
assist in the maintenance of trails, trail markers and even installed
trail benches for you to sit and enjoy the quiet moments at Ferris. A
major project undertaken by the Friends was in partnership with the Campbellford
Rotary Club. A new picnic shelter was built entirely with volunteers and
today family gatherings, company picnics and special events in the Park
all benefit from this structure. Another recent improvement is the purchase
and installation of playground equipment much to the delight of young

Frog surveys in Ferris Provincial Park, conducted by Toronto
Zoo's Adopt-A-Pond Programme. We hope that this will help with the long
term sustainability of Western Chorus Frog populations in Ferris park.
The Friends of Ferris is a registered Canadian Charitable Trust. Originally
formed in 1994, they received charitable status in 1996, and adopted a mandate.
